Laura Huntley is a Managing Director in Treliant’s Regulatory Compliance, Mortgage, and Operations Solutions practice. Laura brings almost two decades of specialized experience in regulatory strategy, compliance, and risk management within the financial services industry. Beginning her career as a practicing attorney, she honed her expertise in regulatory compliance and litigation, advising and representing top-tier banks, financial institutions, and non-bank financial clients, both foreign and domestic. She later transitioned to risk and regulatory consulting, where she has been instrumental in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and delivering strategic solutions.

Before joining Treliant, Laura was a Director at PwC’s Cyber, Risk, and Regulatory Practice in New York, where she provided guidance on regulatory compliance, risk management, and regulatory remediation. Her tenure at PwC also saw her advising leading technology companies and financial services institutions on consumer protection and user trust and safety, with a focus on emerging digital services industry risks. Previously, at Protiviti Global Risk and Business Consulting, her leadership was pivotal in managing compliance program designs, risk assessments, and audits for prominent credit card issuers and multinational investment banks.

At Treliant, Laura continues to focus on consumer protection in financial services while guiding clients through the challenges and complexities of a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. She is responsible for leading regulatory strategy and compliance initiatives, advising on risk management strategies, and contributing thought leadership. Her deep experience, particularly in the evolving digital services sector, positions her as a pivotal advisor for banks and fintechs striving to uphold consumer trust and meet stringent regulatory standards. Her leadership is instrumental in fortifying Treliant’s commitment to delivering strategic solutions that ensure client resilience in the face of regulatory challenges.

Laura holds a JD degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a BA in Political Science and Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating summa cum laude.
