March 9, 2023 – Washington, DC – Treliant, an essential consulting partner to the global financial industry, has named Tyler Langenkamp as Managing Director, Global Financial Crimes Compliance. His appointments underscores Treliant’s continued commitment to the financial industry as it confronts the growing risk of money laundering and fraud in today’s heightened regulatory environment.

Tyler brings over 25 years of industry experience in designing and implementing data-driven risk management programs, with particular emphasis on Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) requirements.

He most recently served as a Managing Director at Huron Consulting Group, advising clients as a subject matter expert on regulatory compliance issues related to process, data, and technology in regard to BSA/AML, global sanctions, and the multitude of fraud schemes occurring globally. His professional experiences also involved similar work at Deloitte, Alvarez & Marsal, KPMG, and other leading firms within the financial crimes consulting industry.

“The financial services industry today is under enormous pressure from endemic criminal activity, the mounting regulatory responsibilities they are being held to in regards to combating financial crime, as well as the growing technological capabilities bad actors have access to as it relates to facilitating their illicit activities,” said John Arvanitis, Senior Managing Director, Global Financial Crimes Compliance, at Treliant. “Tyler’s appointment will provide our clients with the depth of experience needed to help them manage these challenges effectively and efficiently and mitigate the risks they present—without disrupting their core global financial services operations.”

“Financial crimes compliance strategies should concentrate on bridging the gaps between business, regulation, and technology, helping each side understand the nuances, requirements, and idiosyncrasies of the other,” Tyler said. “As I join Treliant’s team of industry professionals, I appreciate the firm’s like-minded approach, and how it works to clear our clients’ path to success in a turbulent market.”
