David Samuels

David Samuels, Huron’s global leader for financial services consulting and Treliant, is responsible for setting and executing the firm’s long-term strategy and driving the overall growth of the business.

David is an expert in designing and delivering “digital first” strategy, advisory, and managed services solutions that help clients to confidently navigate economic uncertainty, interest rate volatility, regulatory disruption, and global instability—delivering measurable outcomes across:

• Enhanced Efficiency Ratio – Accelerated Growth with Cost Reduction;
• Customer Diversification and Retention;
• Business Transformation and Optimization;
• Robust Enterprise and Program-Level Data Governance; and
• Modernized Technology and Resilient Security Infrastructure

David served as the CEO of Treliant since 2022. Prior to joining Treliant, David was Managing Director and Market Segment Leader at Promontory Financial Group, an IBM company. Previously, David was Global Managing Director and Head of the Risk Solutions and Analytics business at S&P Capital IQ, Chief Operating Officer and Global Head at ERisk, an Oliver Wyman spinout, President and CEO of Bankers Trust Zoologic, and Global Head of Field Operations at CATS Software.

David holds a BS in Finance and Management Information Systems with a minor in Computer Science from the University at Albany, School of Business.

He writes and speaks frequently on efficiency, transformation, risk management and compliance topics and is also active in various professional and nonprofit organizations.
