Tom Itoh, a Director in Treliant’s Capital Markets Data Solutions practice, has more than 20 years of experience and a proven track record of completing complex enterprise-level and regulatory-related projects within the Financial Services industry. Tom has experience in clarifying business requirements, performing gap analysis between goals and existing procedures, designing processes, and implementing system improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost within budget and on time.

Tom has a comprehensive understanding of trade processing in equities, fixed income, FX, and OTC exchange-traded and cleared derivatives, from trade decision making and execution to settlement and next-day preparation. He has experience reporting and monitoring in various areas, including performance measurement, client reporting and compliance, regulatory and trade guideline monitoring, balance sheet creation, and ledger reconciliation.

Tom has a technical background serving as a financial application/DB developer with an end-to-end understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from project initiation, business requirements, gathering/documenting, SIT, UAT, to production rollout.

Before Treliant, Tom worked for MUFG Union Bank, where he led the implementation of a liquidity risk management platform to comply with the enhanced prudential standards (EPS) and FR2052A (5G) regulations. Tom also automated and strengthened the bank’s liquidity stress testing framework.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sophia University, Tokyo.
