John Grace is a Managing Director with Treliant, with over 30 years in financial services. He is a subject matter expert across all the disciplines of risk management, having twice served as a Chief Risk Officer and also as a Chief Information Officer. John has significant experience with global commercial banks, midsize and regional consumer banks, insurance companies and their investment businesses, centralized counterparties, and GSEs. As a C-level executive, he has developed successful relationships with a wide variety of regulatory agencies including the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve, and the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority.

John’s risk management career started with market risk disciplines such as interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and asset-liability risk. His subsequent Wall Street experiences enabled him to develop his skills in foreign exchange, operational risk, model risk, and vendor management. As the risk environment evolved, John become a leading practitioner in business continuity planning and disaster recovery, and IT and cybersecurity risk oversight.

John holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Loyola Marymount University.
