Fred Finke is a Regulatory Advisor with Treliant who brings a broad background in regulated bank supervision to clients, across the entire spectrum of community, regional, and multinational banks. Having just retired after 36 years in progressively senior roles and managing many aspects of bank supervision within the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Fred possesses extensive, up-to-date knowledge of enforcement matters, licensing activities, bank capital standards, and safety and soundness examinations.
Prior to joining Treliant, Fred held positions at the OCC including Deputy Comptroller of the Northeastern District and Deputy Comptroller of the Special Supervision unit covering troubled banks. Fred also has experience advising investors desiring a national bank charter with which to bid on failed bank assets and deposits offered by the FDIC. He is uniquely qualified to advise bank management and board members on how to prepare for or respond to regulatory examinations in the current environment. Fred has directed examination teams overseeing national banks and foreign banks doing business in the U.S., which required him to understand foreign bank regulatory requirements.
Fred received his BS degree from the University of Nebraska and attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
