Session Details: Growing Pains:  Regulatory Considerations for Smaller Banks as they Increase in Asset Size | 2:30PM – 3:30PM

Overall, we plan to cover the changes from a regulatory, governance, audit, and reporting perspective as banks cross the $1 billion, $3 billion, $5 billion, and $10 billion asset thresholds (and beyond).  Specifically, we plan to explore the changes to a bank’s examination cycles, reporting requirements, and the ability of small holding companies to finance the acquisition of banks, among other things.  We may also discuss the compliance and risk challenges as banks grow in assets such as having a maturing model risk management program, cybersecurity risks, the establish of a risk committee, Volcker Rule implications, and supervision by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Panelist: Agnes Bundy Scanlan, Senior Advisor
