Washington, DC – November 29, 2011 – Treliant Risk Advisors, a compliance and strategic advisory firm specializing in the financial services industry, announced today that Carl G. Pry has joined Treliant Risk Advisors as Senior Director. Carl brings to Treliant years of experience in banking law, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance.

He has a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing compliance programs that meet the approval of examiners, and he has demonstrated expertise in all aspects of risk assessment, program development, and methodology,” said Andrew L. Over the last 18 years, Carl has held a number of senior leadership positions. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Compliance Manager for the Compliance and Control Division at KeyBank, where he established a comprehensive fair lending program, including detailed statistical analysis methodology, comparative file review, detailed reporting, and fair lending risk assessments. Carl’s work at KeyBank included an examination of all fair lending risk throughout the institution.

Prior to KeyBank, Carl held the position as Manager of Finance and Performance Management Service Line at Accenture and prior to Accenture, Carl served as Vice President of Regulatory Services at Kirchman Corporation.

He not only works with banks directly on compliance strategy and solutions, but also advises and educates bankers nationwide through his writings in industry publications and his speeches at numerous conferences each year,” said Jo Ann S. Carl currently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for ABA Bank Compliance magazine and is a frequent contributor. He has authored scores of articles on financial issues, developed testing and support materials for BAI’s Anti-Money Laundering Professional Certification, and served as subject matter expert for web-based compliance and audit educational testing programs for banking training firms. He is the author of “Internet Banking Manual,” a comprehensive guide to business planning, risk analysis, and Internet use by financial institutions. For LexisNexis, he also authored “The New RESPA Rule: Navigating New Disclosures” and “The Evolution of Reg. Z: Increased Duties and Responsibilities for Lenders.”

Carl holds a JD and an MBA from the University of Toledo and a BSBA from Bowling Green State University. He is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and Certified Risk Professional.
